The Hall County Board of Commissioners approved the county’s FY 2025 budget, which includes as rollback of the tax rate, Thursday night.
Passed unanimously, the budget also includes 30 miles of road resurfacing, various park and road improvements, and sewer expansions.
“We are presenting a relatively flat budget this year with strategic capital expenditures to achieve financial balance under the Board’s leadership and direction to alleviate the tax burden on citizens through a full rollback,” County Administrator Zach Propes said.
FY 2025’s General Fund millage rate is 3.234, down from last year’s 3.440. While this doesn’t include the Hall County School System’s millage rate, it does provide a slight decrease for taxpayers in Hall County.
While the overall budget is slightly reduced from last year’s $405.7 million budget, the FY 2025 Capital Expenditures plan highlights the anticipated completion of several significant project, including the renovations at the Health Department, Landfill Cell construction, the paving of Cagle Road and the Friendship Road sewer expansion.
