A Gainesville man remains in jail following his arrest last week on more than 400 counts of
possession and distribution of pornographic images of children.
HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NEWS RELEASE:
“Investigators with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Internet Crimes Against Children
(ICAC) Unit began an investigation of Lorin Jake Millwood, 24, on Dec. 2…after
receiving four cybertips via a social media app. Investigators executed a search warrant
two days later on Millwood’s home on Bluffton Drive.
During the course of the search, investigators seized multiple electronic devices from
Millwood’s person and home. Forensic processing of the devices uncovered 400
photographs and videos of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct. The investigation
determined Millwood had shared four of the images. There is no evidence that the children
depicted in the child sexual abuse material (CSAM) are local victims.
As a result of the investigation, Millwood was charged with 404 felony counts of sexual
exploitation of a minor, 400 for possession and four (4) for distribution.
Millwood is being held without bond at this time.”
