Two teenagers and an adult arrested Friday on alcohol violation and loitering charges remained in the Hall County Jail late Monday afternoon. They were arrested after a sheriff’s deputy spotted them in a vehicle under an I-985 bridge.
HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE NARRATIVE:
“The deputy was on patrol in the area of Griffin Circle when he noticed the running vehicle pulled off on the wrong side of the road facing oncoming traffic underneath the I-985 bridge. When the deputy stopped to investigate, he made contact with the driver and two passengers. He requested assistance from additional law enforcement.
The investigation at the scene determined all three had driven to the location specifically to consume alcohol. Deputies observed multiple open containers of alcohol inside the vehicle. They determined the driver and one of the passengers were 17. The other passenger was identified as Enrique Ramos-Lucas, 37, who indicated he was homeless. Ramos-Lucas was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, open container violation and loitering.
The driver was identified as Pascual Ramos-Alonzo, 17, of Gainesville. He was charged with open container violation, underage consumption of alcohol, loitering, operating a vehicle with an expired tag, driving while unlicensed and giving deputies a false name.
The other passenger, Julio Lucas-Carmelo, 17, of Gainesville, was charged with open container violation, underage consumption of alcohol and loitering. Deputies determined he also had probation violation warrant from juvenile court.
All three remain in the Hall County Jail on immigration detainers.”
