*Georgia early voting sets a record ahead of Tuesday’s primaries. The Secretary of State’s office confirming more than 1.2-million early voters. Early voting ended Friday. Kennesaw State political analyst Ben Taylor tells ANF-TV that based on those early voting numbers Democrats are surging. Taylor is seeing Georgia Democratic voters showing unusually high enthusiasm. Early voting ended with 581,820 Democratic ballots cast, 428,111 Republican, and 15,545 non-partisan.
*A Newnan High School teacher is out of the job after reports of a video allegedly showing him calling a student a racial slur, according to the Coweta County school district. The 14-year-old’s parents tell 13 WMAZ the incident steams from the student wearing a beanie in class and being asked to remove it on Monday. The disagreement escalated when he refused. At that point is when the social studies teacher allegedly used the slur meant to demean black people. After an investigation, school administrators decided to remove Brad Willems and confirm he is no longer employed with the school system.
*Georgia experts say there is a best and worst time to mow your lawn. As spring and summer temperatures rise in Georgia, mowing your grass becomes a regular task. The best time to mow your lawn is mid-morning between 8:00 and 10:00 and in the afternoon between 4:00 and 6:00. The Ledger Enquirer reports that other tips include mowing when the grass is dry, avoiding mowing dormant or drought-stricken grass, sharpening mower blades, and mowing at the right height to prevent damage.
