*Officials are confirming another Georgia water system was targeted in a cyberattack. Coweta County Water Authority officials say hackers breached its system July 27 and attempted to change passwords and take control of equipment operating pumps and valves. It’s at least the third recently reported cyberattack involving a Georgia water system, following incidents in Clayton County and Columbus.
*Amazon is planning to start delivering small packages to customers in a small area of Gwinnett County. The service will be limited within a 7-and-a-half radius of the Gwinnett Amazon facility which is currently under construction and expected to be completed by the end of the year.
*A former Polk County police officer, Tracey Royston, 51, is facing four misdemeanor counts of Misuse of a License Plate Reader System (LPRS), commonly known as Flock. The GBI arrested her Friday. Royston’s is the latest arrest of a Georgia law enforcement officer in a string of such cases recently.
*A 25-year-old woman in Brookhaven was charged with animal cruelty after witnesses reported seeing her throw three kittens out of a moving car. Fox5Atlanta reports one 8-week-old was found dead, while another was rescued and treated for a dislocated tail. The third was still missing at last report.
