There were no reports of any damage in Hall County from the storms that moved through late Monday night and early today, according to the county’s emergency management agency (EMA) director.
“I don’t believe we had any damage last night,” Zach Brackett wrote in an email Tuesday morning.
For the record, the National Weather Service (NWS) data collected at the Gainesville airport, show just .26 inches of rain and a top wind gust, recorded between midnight and 1:00 a.m., of 29 mph.
And the weather service says more storms are likely Wednesday. “A strong front and line of storms will move through north GA late Wednesday into Wednesday night,” an advisory says. “Some storms may be strong to severe, and capable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail, and brief spin-up tornadoes.”
“Green” on map indicates lowest threat level.
