(EDITOR’S NOTE: By 11:30 this morning, rainfall at the National Weather Service station at Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport registered 8.25 inches since midnight Tuesday when Gainesville began experiencing the effects of the approaching storm. And the level of Lake Lanier has increased almost two feet since then.)
