*One of this week’s Wisconsin school shooting victims, Erin Michelle West, 42, was a graduate of Kennesaw State University (KSU). Atlanta News First confirmed that West graduated with a degree in early childhood education from the Georgia college back in 2005. School officials said West was a substitute teacher at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin for three years before accepting a full-time position. According to her obituary, she leaves behind a husband and three daughters.
*An argument breaks out between firefighters and a horseback rider followed by a police chase during a Christmas parade in northwest Georgia. Authorities say it started during a parade in Chatsworth when a rider on horseback, identified as Gabrion Carrell, caused a disturbance while reportedly intoxicated. Two police officers intervened after Carrell got into an argument with firefighters, prompting the parade to halt. Despite being commanded to stop, Carrell instead attempted to flee on his horse, leading to him being tasered. A 13-year-old girl was slightly injured during the melee. Carrell was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, pedestrian under the influence, and obstructing law enforcement officers
