The Winter Storm Warning continues until 1:00 Sunday morning. The Extreme Cold Warning is in effect tonight 7:00 until 1:00 Sunday afternoon.
At tonight’s 6:00 briefing Hall County spokeswoman Natalae La Douceur said there had been 30 roadway “incidents” since the storm arrived – accidents, stalled vehicles, trees across roads, etc. Unlike last weekend, however, when another winter storm hit the area with freezing rain, there have been very few power outages this time around.
The next briefing will be at midnight.
A side note: in Forsyth County today, two Cumming Police cars were damaged in collisions with other vehicles while on patrol. The officers were not hurt.
