Kickoff for Friday night’s West Hall High School football game has been pushed back half-an-hour because of the weather.
“We have two in-county games Friday,” Hall County School District spokesman Stan Lewis said Tuesday. “The Johnson/West Hall game has been pushed to an 8 p.m. kickoff. For now, the Cherokee Bluff/Adairsville Game is still set at 7:30.”
Forecasters warned over the weekend that we were in for an abnormally hot week, pushing into the next weekend, with actual temperatures at times near or at 100 and heat indexes at around 105. The National Weather Service says Friday’s high in Gainesville is expected to be 95.
