The teenager who was shot and critically wounded at a Gainesville apartment complex over the weekend has died – and police have released a sketch of a possible suspect in the shooting.
GAINESVILLE POLICE NEWS RELEASE:
“Jaishawn Overstreet, 16-years-old, of Gwinnett County, died as a result of his injuries sustained in Saturday shooting.
Police need your help identifying a possible suspect in the murder investigation.
It is believed that Overstreet travelled to Ridgecrest Apartments on Saturday, April 27th to meet with an unknown party for alleged criminal activity. During the encounter Overstreet was shot. He died on Monday as a result of his injuries.
Possible witnesses worked with a GPD sketch artist to obtain a composite drawing of the possible suspect. If you can help ID this person or have any information that may assist in this case please call 911.
