HALL CO. FIRE RESCUE (HCFR) NEWS RELEASE:
“At approximately 12:10 am, Hall County Fire Rescue responded to the 5700 block of Willow Way (Countryside Village) in Buford for reports of a mobile home fire with multiple exposures.
Truck 17 arrived first on scene and began a fire attack from the exterior. Prior to HCFR arrival the flames reached a second mobile home. More units were sent to fight the second involved residence as well.
Crews worked quickly to evacuate the surrounding homes to ensure the safety of the occupants. HCFR personnel worked quickly to deploy hose lines, extinguish the flames and prevent any further extension to the surrounding mobile homes.
As a result, two structures are considered a total loss, and two surrounding homes suffered some fire damage to the exterior. Multiple vehicles were affected by the flames as well.
All residents exited their homes prior to HCFR arrival and are all uninjured. The American Red Cross was notified for a total of nine people who were displaced.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.”
