UPDATE: Gville man arrested Fri. on child sex charges still behind bars

Luke Samuel Tyner, 20, of Gainesville remains in the Hall County Jail Monday afternoon following his arrest Friday on 20 counts of sexual exploitation of children.

HCSO NEWS RELEASE:

“Investigators with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Internet Crimes Against Children
(ICAC) Unit launched an investigation on Feb. 17 after receiving a series of Cybertips from the
National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

The investigation determined Tyner had on his cell phone ten (10) videos of children being sexually assaulted. Additionally, the investigation determined Tyner shared the videos to others via a social media app. The crimes occurred between June 29, 20225 and Aug. 6, 2025.

ICAC investigators executed a search warrant at Tyner’s residence on Highland Drive and seized
(several) electronic devices. Additional charges are possible pending completion of forensic
processing of the devices.

Tyner has been charged with twenty (20) counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, 10 for
possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and ten (10) for distribution of CSAM….”

His arrest followed by one day the arrest of a 19-year-old Gainesville man on 16 child sex charges involving a 14-year-old Texas girl.
