The White County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) has provided new details about the incident a few days ago in which two campers were attacked by four people. Among other things, the sheriff’s office says the attackers are from Lula.
WCSO NEWS RELEASE:
“On July 26, 2025, Deputies with the White County Sheriff’s Office along with Fire Department and EMS personnel were called to Low Gap Campground located on Low Gap Rd. in reference to an assault and stabbing.
When Deputies arrived, they learned a Krista Wilson (44) assaulted a twenty-year-old female. During the assault the female stabbed Krista Wilson. They also learned that while the female was being assaulted, her fifty-eight-year-old father was severely beaten and sustained a laceration to his throat from a glass bottle. The fifty-eight-year-old male was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center and is in critical condition. Krista Wilson was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in serious condition.
Investigators were called to the scene and an investigation was launched into the incident. During the investigation, it was learned that a group of four individuals all from Lula GA assaulted the fifty-eight-year-old father and twenty-year-old daughter from Waco GA. During the assault, the daughter stabbed her attacker in self-defense. The father was struck with a glass beer bottle causing a severe laceration and assaulted while lying on the ground. The parties involved were identified and subsequently arrested. The parties involved were charged with the following crimes:
Krista Wilson (44)- Aggravated Assault; Battery
Joshua Wilson (42)- Aggravated Assault; Battery
Joshua Miller (32)- Aggravated Assault; Battery
Charles Miller (39)- Aggravated Assault; Battery
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.”
