Acting on a tip from the public, Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) property crimes investigators have identified and arrested a suspect in a criminal trespassing incident in northwestern Hall County.
HCSO NARRATIVE:
“The incident occurred the morning of Jan. 23..when the suspect, now identified as Armando Villagomez-Campos, 36, of Gainesville, was captured on a doorbell camera inside a shed on Timberlake Court. The investigation determined Villagomez-Campos stole the camera after his image was recorded inside the shed.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office posted a BOLO (be on the lookout) announcement on the agency’s Facebook page Tuesday…asking for citizen help in locating the suspect. A citizen recognized the image of the suspect and contacted investigators. Villagomez-Campos was arrested at his residence just after noon on (Thursday).
Villagomez-Campos was charged with burglary in the second degree. He was also charged with possession of methamphetamine (approximately one ounce); the drugs were found on his person when he was arrested.
At last check, the suspect remained in jail on a bond of $33,400.”
