Two Georgians’ death sentences vacated by the Biden

President Biden is commuting the federal death sentences for two men in Georgia.

One of those cases is that of Meier Jason Brown, who was sentenced for killing a Fleming postal worker in Liberty County more than two decades ago.

A second case stems from the Atlanta Penitentiary, where Anthony George Battle used a hammer to kill a guard 30 years ago.

Their sentencing will be altered to life without parole.

They are among 37 federal death row prisoners whose sentences were vacated by Biden Monday. More on the story here: Biden gives life in prison to 37 of 40 federal death row inmates before Trump can resume executions – SRN News
