A Flowery Branch man remained in the Hall County Jail Sunday morning without bond following his arrest last week by Flowery Branch police and state drug agents.
James Matthew Hicks, 43, was stopped Thursday because of an “equipment violation,” according to police spokesman Christopher Compton.
“With assistance from the (GBI) Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office Task Force, further investigation led officers to a residence located on the 6000 block of Gainesville St in Flowery Branch where officers located marijuana and multiple firearms,” Compton said.
Hicks was arrested and charged with:
Possession of a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance
Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
