Third suspect in year-old smash-and-grab arrested

Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) property crimes investigators have made a third arrest in connection to a smash and grab burglary that occurred at a sports memorabilia business almost a year ago.

HCSO NARRATIVE:

*Kaleb Kale Ryan Holloway, 35, of Flowery Branch, has been in jail since Feb. 2, 2025, when he was arrested on unrelated outstanding warrants. Holloway has been charged with smash and grab burglary, a felony, for the April 18, 2024, break-in at The Sports Shack on McEver Road. Investigators determined he and two other suspects smashed the front door of the business around 2 a.m. to gain entry. They then damaged multiple display cases and stole several thousand dollars’ worth of merchandise.

Holloway also was charged with criminal attempt to commit smash and grab burglary, a felony, for an attempted break-in at the same business around 1 a.m. on April 26, 2024. He attempted to break the glass front door to gain entry but was unsuccessful.

The other suspects in the April 18 burglary are Oscar Rodriguez De-Jesus, 26, of Gainesville, and Genaro Moran, 27, of Flowery Branch. De-Jesus was arrested on May 15, 2024, and he was charged with the burglary on Sept. 26, 2024. Moran was charged last October with two smash and grab burglaries at The Sports Shack – the one on April 18, 2024 and the other on May 8, 2024. In December, he was transferred to Colwell Probation Detention Center in Blairsville. He was returned to the Hall County Jail on Feb. 24, 2025, after he violated probation.

At this time, all three suspects remain in the Hall County Jail with no bond.”
