State’s largest data center proposed for middle Ga.

Plans are in the works for what would be the largest data center to date in Georgia, according to the state Department of Community Affairs.

A filing on record at the agency says Forsyth Technology Campus (FTC) would be located in Forsyth in middle Georgia.

“The proposed development will include up to 12 million square feet of technology facility buildings on an approximately 1,632-acre site located along Johnsonville Road, Smith Road, and Collier Road west of I-75,” the filing says.

The projected build-out year is 2037.

Trammel Crowe Company of Atlanta is the would-be developer.
