*A student was stabbed while trying to break up a fight at a Gwinnett County high school Wednesday morning. The South Gwinnett High School student who was injured was reportedly taken to the hospital and is expected to recover. Principal Rodney Jordan condemned the violence, stating it’s “unacceptable.” The two students involved will face disciplinary action, and the student who stabbed the other has been arrested and charged. The school plans to install new weapons detectors soon to enhance safety.

*Meanwhile, a high school student in Augusta was arrested after a weapons detection system indicated the student had a gun. The principal of Lucy C. Laney High reported the weapon was found during the Wednesday morning check-in, prompting administrators to call Richmond County School System Police. The student was taken into custody.

*Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene joined a crowd in Washington on Wednesday to advocate for a bill to release the “Epstein Files,” stating that both parties have protected the names of Epstein abusers for too long. Greene, a Republican and staunch supporter of President Trump, spoke at a press conference organized by Republican Representatives Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Democrat Ro Khanna of California, who are trying to force a vote on that bill.
