Road rage shooting; Third time’s the charm?; Deadly police chase

*A road rage shooting in south Georgia leaves a man wounded. Tifton Police responding to a shots-fired call Sunday morning in a Walmart parking lot. Police found 42-year-old Keith King with multiple gunshot wounds and he’s at Tift Reginal Medical Center. Officers believe an argument over a near collision ended with 24-year-old Robert Wright shooting King. Wright’s in the Tift County Jail for assault.

*The same southern Georgia school board race is going on the ballot for a third time. The race between incumbent Kenneth Palmer and challenger Austin Futch has been up in the air since last May, when some voters were given incorrect ballots. Last week, a Superior Court judge threw out results from a November re-do because the race was then left off the ballot for close to 90 eligible voters, while the vote total was a difference of less than 30 between the candidates. A new election has now been ordered for March 18. 

*The state patrol is investigating a deadly police chase in south Georgia. Deputies in Wilkinson County tried pulling over a child molestation suspect late Saturday afternoon, but he fled until they performed a PIT maneuver on his truck in Twiggs County. The suspect’s brother died at the scene after he was ejected from the truck.
