Public officials attending and making remarks to the gathering included Mayor Sam Couvillon, Hall County Board of Commissioners Chairman Richard Higgins, and state Rep. Brent Cox of Dawsonville.
The Menorah-lighting was one of two recent public ceremonies sponsored by the local Chabad. The other was held last week in Flowery Branch.
