Schools Supt. Will Schofield plans to recommend North Hall High
School Principal Billy Wells as the next Director of Transportation Services for the Hall County
School District (HCSD). The recommendation will be made at the Monday board of education meeting. Wells will step into the position being vacated by Clay Hobbs, who will retire at the end of
the current school year.
The school district also says Dr. Jamie Hitzges, principal of East Hall Middle School, will be leaving the district at the conclusion of the school year to “pursue other professional opportunities.” Dr. Hitzges has served the Hall County School District for nine years, previously leading Chicopee Woods Elementary
School as principal from 2017 to 2022.
