A motorcyclist was critically injured Tuesday when his bike and a car collided on Jesse Jewell Parkway west of downtown, but the biker’s name was not available as late as mid-morning Friday.
“The preliminary investigation indicates that a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle was travelling east on Jesse Jewell Pkwy, when it collided with a 2011 Mitsubishi Galant,” Gainesville Police spokesman Kevin Holbrook wrote in an email Friday morning. “The (22-year-old) driver of the motorcycle was ejected at the time of the crash, receiving critical injuries (and was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center).”
Asked if he had the motorcyclist’s name, Holbrook said “not at this time.”
