Missing man may have been spotted in Hall Co.

Authorities said Sunday a Suwanee man, missing since Feb. 5, may have been spotted in Hall County.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) said in a lookout that Angelo Iafelice, 24, “was possibly spotted (Saturday), near Jesse Jewel Parkway and Crescent Drive (Dunkin Donuts).”

The original alert from Gwinnett County Police said that on Feb. 14, Angelo Iafelice’s family contacted 911 to report him missing. Iafelice was last seen on February 5 in the Sugar Hill area and was possibly traveling on foot toward Forsyth County.

Iafelice is a white male weighing 145 pounds and standing 5’11” tall. He has dark brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a tan jacket with blue jeans.

Anyone seeing him is urged to call 911.

In 2005, he was presented with the Georgia Associated Press Broadcasters Association’s President’s Award for Excellence in Journalism and in 2019 was inducted into the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame.

He lives in Gainesville with his wife of 52 years, the former Sandra McKnight of Clio, Alabama, and they have one child, a daughter, Lisa, who lives in Cumming with her family.
