K9 teams from several law agencies in recently came to Gainesville for some training.
Sixteen teams from sheriff’s offices in Stephens and White counties were in Gainesville for Certification Saturday as well as the Waycross Police Department. Teams from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office also participated.
Tracking teams spent some time training in a wooded area and narcotics detection teams had their assessments at the old Hall County Courthouse.
At the end of a long day, the teams, including 11 from Hall County, gained certification or recertification from the North American Police Dog Working Association.
