“There were scattered outages across the system last night due to weather with the largest circuit out in the Oakwood area,” spokeswoman Wendy Jones said about 9:00 this morning. “They have been restored.”
Asked about any storm-related damage in Hall County, Emergency Management Agency and Homeland Security Director Zach Brackett said “We didn’t have any major impacts from the weather. Isolated power issues but that was it.”
The National Weather Service (NWS) reports that Gainesville recorded .83 inches of rain at Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport between Wednesday night and 8:00 this morning. The top wind gust overnight was 24 mph, according to data collected at the airport.
