The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) plans bridge repairs and maintenance in Jackson County beginning later this month that will require temporary road closures and detours.
These are the affected roads and the planned dates for the work:
*Georgia 15 Alternate over the North Oconee River, Friday, April 24, 7:00 p.m.- through Monday, April 27, 5:00 a.m.
*U.S. 129 over the Middle Oconee River, Friday, May 1, 7:00 p.m.-Monday, May 4, 5:00 a.m.
