The holiday weekend in our area is shaping up to be pretty typical of the weather for this time of year: hot, with a chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms. So, if your plans call for outdoor activities, you might want to be “weather aware.”
The National Weather Service (NWS), as of Friday morning, was forecasting highs around 90 with up to a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms Saturday-Monday.
