UPDATE #4: Two now dead following Saturday Ga. 365 wreck

5:00 P.M. MONDAY UPDATE:

The 16-year-old girl seriously injured in the traffic accident on Georgia 365 Saturday near Whitehall Road, Tanner Collins of Winder, has died.

1:30 PM. SUNDAY UPDATE:

The state patrol said Sunday it was a 17-year-old from Winder, Dinu Dariy, who died in the Georgia 365/Whitehall Road accident Saturday. The injured, who was in the car which Dariy was driving, was Tanner Collins, 16, also from Winder. She suffered serious injuries.

11:15 P.M. SATURDAY UPDATE:

A second crash Georgia 365 occurred Saturday night, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office. It happened near White Sulphur Road and resulted in a closing of part of the road for a time. No details were immediately available and may not be until Monday morning since it was investigated by the sheriff’s office.

8:00 P.M. SATURDAY UPDATE:

One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Georgia 365 north of Gainesville about noon Saturday.

GEORGIA STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:

“(About 11:30) troopers were notified of a two-vehicle crash on SR 365 NB, north of Whitehall Road in Hall County. 

A 2009 Mercedes E320 was traveling north on SR 365 at a high rate of speed in the left lane.  The driver lost control and began to rotate and struck a 2020 Kia Sportage in the right lane. 

After the impact, the Kia Sportage ran off the roadway and came to an uncontrollable stop.  After the impact, the Mercedes E320 ran off the roadway and struck several trees. 

The driver of the Mercedes succumbed to his injuries.  A female passenger was taken to Northeast GA Medical Center in Gainesville with serious injuries.”

Names of those involved have not been released.
