A Cornelia man remains in the Hall County Jail after deputies say he threatened another man with a handgun early Thursday in a dispute that involved his former girlfriend.
TommyLee Devin Xaykosy is accused of confronting the victim as he sat in a parked vehicle with the former girlfriend in a church parking lot in Chicopee. Sheriff’s deputies said Xaykosy opened the driver’s door, waved a handgun and ordered both occupants out of the vehicle.
He then left and went to the woman’s nearby home. The victim and the woman followed in the victim’s vehicle. When the woman saw Xaykosy pounding on her family’s door, she agreed to leave with him in his vehicle. The victim called 911 again, giving dispatchers a description of the suspect’s vehicle.
Deputies located Xaykosy and the woman a short distance away and conducted a traffic stop. Xaykosy was arrested without incident, and deputies recovered a handgun from the vehicle.
Xaykosy is charged with aggravated assault, pointing a gun at another, false imprisonment and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He is being held without bond.
