HANDS OFF! is described by the national organizers as a “National Day of Action to stand up against those who believe they can take whatever they want—our democracy, our future, our rights.” And local organizers plan to join in with a protest of their own on the Gainesville Square Saturday 1:00-2:00.
The national organizers go on to proclaim on their website “Donald Trump and Elon Musk think this country belongs to them. They’re grabbing everything they can, and it’s up to us to push back. On April 5th, we’ll take to the streets with a clear message: Hands off!”
Local organizers emphasize that “THIS IS A PEACEFUL PROTEST.”
