Hall County’s unemployment rate increased in August.
The state Labor Department says it rose to 3.1 percent, up six-tenths of a percent compared to July. A year ago, the rate was 2.8 percent.
The jobless rate also increased in August in all of Georgia’s Regional Commission.
In the 13-county Georgia Mountains Regional Commission, which includes Hall County and most of northeast Georgia, the rate was 3.3. percent, also a six-tenths of a percent increase compared to a month earlier.
