“America is in a stronger position today because we’re willing to lead.”
Congressman Rich McCormick (R-Suwanee), one of two congressmen who represent a part of Hall County in Washington, reacting to the attack on Iran overnight Friday by the U.S. and Israel.
“The Iranian regime has spent decades sponsoring terror, destabilizing the Middle East, and calling for the destruction of Israel and the United States,” McCormick said in a post on X. “Confronting that threat now is far safer than allowing it to grow.”
And he had a message for those Americans in uniform and their families. “To our service members and their families, we see your sacrifice, we’re praying for your safety, and we are grateful beyond words. Your courage today protects America’s future.”
The other congressional representative whose district includes a part of Hall County, Andrew Clyde (R-Jackson County), simply said on X Saturday morning “May God bless and protect our troops” in a post adorned by a huge American flag.
