Gville man faces additional charges in child sexual exploitation case

A Gainesville man who was arrested last October by investigators with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit faces more than 100 additional charges in the investigation.

HCSO NEWS RELEASE:

“Martin Pedro, 20, was first arrested on Oct. 3, 2024, after a cybertip led local investigators
to 18 videos of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Investigators found the videos
during a search of email addresses linked to the suspect.

The ongoing investigation led to the discovery of an additional 134 pieces of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Investigators were able to determine Pedro produced four of the videos himself at a residence in Hall County. The female victim in those videos, who has been identified, was under the age of 16.

Pedro was taken into custody on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, on the following charges:
 Sexual exploitation of children (134 counts for possession of CSAM)
 Sexual exploitation of children (4 counts for creating CSAM)
 Child molestation (one count for touching the victim as he was producing CSAM)

Pedro remains at the Hall County Jail with no bond.”
