Gville man facing eavesdropping, burglary charges

Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies have arrested a Gainesville man on burglary and eavesdropping charges after responding to a dispute in the 2200 block of Barnes Drive Thursday morning.

HCSO NARRATIVE:

“According to the preliminary investigation, Kevin Armando Torres-Ortiz, 24, used his phone to take video of the victim, 23, while he was outside of her bedroom window. Torres-Ortiz then entered the residence through the window and argued with the occupants of the home. He and the victim knew one another prior to the incident, which happened at roughly 5:30 a.m.

Deputies took custody of Torres-Ortiz at the scene of the crime and charged him with first-degree burglary and unlawful eavesdropping or surveillance, both felonies. He was booked into the Hall County Jail where he’s being held without bond.”
