A 44-year-old woman is free on bond after being arrested Monday on charges that were filed last August in a case involving a counterfeit Rolex watch.
Rebecca Sue Bitterman is charged with forged/counterfeit trademark, according to Hall County Jail records.
“…(The) victim bought what he thought was an authentic Rolex watch from Bitterman for $7,800,” Gainesville Police Department (GPD) spokesman Kevin Holbrook said Tuesday. “It was later determined that Bitterman had sold the watch under the false pretense it was real. Warrants were obtained in the case; she was picked up at the Atlanta Airport.”
The sheriff’s office says Bitterman was freed on $16,700 bond Tuesday morning.
