Getting the lead out: Gville getting $1M for lead pipe inventory, replacement

Gainesville is one of 22 communities around the state that will share in $16 million in low-interest loans for a survey of lead pipes and replacing those pipes. The money if from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) and in administered through the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA). Forsyth County is getting $500,000.
