Shalom b’Harim, which bills itself as the Jewish Community of the Northeast Georgia Mountains, will host a timely meeting Oct. 15, 2:00-4:00, at the Gainesville Civil Center, with a question-and-answer session to the official presentation.
The session comes in the wake of the distribution of antisemitism fliers in several north Georgia neighborhoods, the latest being last week in a subdivision in Suwanee near the Hall-Gwinnett County line. However, the presentation was planned before that incident.
Titled “Why the Jews: A Long and Tragic History of Antisemitism and the Hope for the Future,” it will feature Brendan Murphy of the Marist School.
