Rob Dugan, who began his career in education as Director of Bands at North Hall Middle School, has been appointed Principal of Big Creek Elementary School in Forsyth County, replacing Courtney McKinney who was named principal of Daves Creek Elementary. Dugan currently serves as Assistant Principal of North Forsyth Middle School.
Rebecca Hewitt has been appointed Principal of Lakeside Middle School, replacing Dr. Megan Thompson who has been named Director of Teaching and Learning. Hewitt currently serves as Assistant Principal of East Forsyth High School.
In Gainesville, Mundy Mill principal Crystal Brown is leaving to become the Gainesville School System’s Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations. Because of an expected reorganization, Brown will replace Chief Operating Officer Adrian Niles, who is set to retire at the end of the school year.
