Flowery Branch police: Burglary, Disorderly House arrests

FLOWERY BRANCH POLICE NARRATIVES:

“On 12/31/2023, Flowery Branch Police Officers responded to a reported burglary at a business in the 5700 block of Phil Niekro Boulevard. Upon arrival, responding Officers discovered an unknown suspect had forcibly entered a closed hair cutting establishment at that location. After entering the hair cutting establishment, the suspect then attempted to break through a wall and enter an adjoining gas station but was unsuccessful. Flowery Branch Police Investigators immediately commenced a thorough and diligent investigation into the matter. As a result of that investigation, Officers developed probable cause to charge Derrick Anton Rogers (pictured), 44, of Atlanta Georgia, with Criminal Trespass, Criminal Damage to Property, Attempted Burglary, and Burglary. The arrest warrants were issued on 03/15/2024.”

“The Flowery Branch Police Department has recently received numerous complaints of disorderly conduct occurring at a residence in the 5500 block of Chestnut Street. Flowery Branch Police Officers investigated and substantiated the complaints of loud boisterous behavior, loud music, glaring lighting, and observed obsessive amounts of unsightly trash and debris at the home. As a result of the investigation, arrest warrants were issued against the homes tenants, Corey Eugene Delk, 40, and Rebecca Dyan Delk, 38, for the offense of disorderly house. Rebecca Delk was taken into custody without incident. Corey Delk was uncooperative with Officers and attempted to resist arrest as he was being taken into custody.  Mr. Delk was charged with two additional counts of obstructing law enforcement officers because of his actions.”
