Five teenagers, ages 15-18, suffered only minor injuries in a late afternoon traffic accident Saturday on I-985, according to the state patrol.
Troopers say the southbound car, driven by a 17-year-old, left I-985 near Wade Orr Bridge, “rotated” several times, overturning several times, before coming to rest after striking some trees.
The accident happened about 5:30 and both southbound lanes of I-985 were closed for some time until the wreckage could be cleared and the investigation completed.
