Father, son accused of selling meth in White Co.

White County authorities have arrested a father and son from Cleveland on drug charges after they said they received information that one of them, Danny Shane Helton, was selling Methamphetamine in the area.

Investigators determined that Helton, 33, had an outstanding warrant for Probation Violation out of Habersham County and discovered that he lived on Blue Water Drive.

Tuesday morning, the White County Narcotics and Crime Suppression went to the Blue Water Drive address to serve the warrant and while there said they obtained probable cause to get a search warrant. During the execution of that warrant, they reportedly located 517 grams of marijuana, 15 grams of methamphetamine, two Hydrocodone pills, three firearms, digital scales, and various drug-related objects.

Helton was found to be a convicted felon along with another man at the house, Danny Lee Helton, 65, Danny Shane Helton’s father.  Both were arrested and face multiple drug and firearms charges.
