E. Hall man faces 160 additional charges in child sexual exploitation case

A Lula man charged a month ago with six counts of sexual exploitation of children has now been
charged with 160 additional counts in the investigation.

HALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NEWS RELEASE:

“The additional charges were filed against Michael Reid Perkins, 62, on Wednesday…following the forensic processing of electronic devices seized from his residence on River Station Drive on August 1.

Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) investigators do not expect to file any more charges in the case.

Investigators launched their investigation in June, after receiving the initial cybertip in the case
from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). HCSO received
assistance in the investigation from the Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force
(ICAC).

Perkins remains in custody at the Hall County Jail with no bond.”
