Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) investigators arrested a Gillsville man this week on several charges for
sexually abusing a child at his residence eleven years ago.
Investigators took Esteban Panuco, 33, into custody on Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 6, at Hall County Sheriff’s Office Headquarters. He is charged with three counts of aggravated child molestation, one count of aggravated sexual battery and two times with aggravated sodomy.
According to the preliminary investigation, Panuco committed the offenses against the female child at his
residence in the 4000 block of Turning Leaf Drive. The incidents happened between August and December of 2012.
He knew the victim, who was under the age of 10 at the time of the offenses. HCSO deputies first learned of the abuse on Sept. 24, 2023, when a family member of the victim reported it following disclosure by the victim.
