*A Walton County teacher is out of a job due to questionable actions on the job. WSB-TV reports the staff member wrote a racial slur on a board at Walnut Grove recently. It allegedly showed the N-word with the final letter missing. The school district says the teacher is no longer employed by the district.
*The CEO of Atlanta-based Delta Airlines is worried about Trump tariffs. Ed Bastian telling CNBC Wednesday Trump’s unpredictable approach has business and leisure passengers limiting travel amid worries about the economy. Trump announcing Wednesday he’s pausing most tariffs 90 days. Still — tough times for Delta. It revised its 2025 revenue forecast from 7% growth to between 2% growth and a 2% decline over last year.
*The Georgia Department of Public Health (GDPH) reports successfully containing a measles outbreak this year by isolating three unvaccinated patients and tracing their contacts. However, officials are concerned about rising cases in other states, particularly Texas, where over 500 people have been infected, resulting in three deaths among unvaccinated people. They emphasize that vaccinations are the best protection against the disease.
