Investigators with the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) have arrested a suspect believed to be involved with last month’s thefts from two cell tower sites in Hall County, a spokeswoman for the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) said Tuesday.
“Property crimes investigators with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office took arrest warrants for Brione Carnell Russell, 36, of Auburn, GA, on August 5, 2024,” B.J. Willliams wrote in an email. “Russell was arrested by DCSO on August 21 as he and an accomplice were attempting a theft from a cell tower site in that jurisdiction.”
The HCSO warrants for Russell are for felony second degree burglary (two counts). At this time, Russell remains in the custody of Dawson County authorities.

“The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Unit and Crime Suppression Unit, in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Service, recently apprehended Brione Russell (pictured) on outstanding warrants.
Russell is wanted in connection with a bank robbery in Shreveport, Louisiana, last year, and has additional warrants from surrounding counties.
He and Kendrick Larkin were arrested while attempting to steal from a cell tower site in Dawson County.
In addition to the existing warrants, Russell now faces charges in Dawson County for Theft by Taking, Damaging/Interfering with Public Utilities, and Conspiracy to Commit a Crime. Larkin is charged with Obstruction of an Officer, Damaging/Interfering with Public Utilities, Theft by Taking, and Conspiracy to Commit a Crime.”
