Date set for opening of new NGMC Gville tower

February 8 is the date set for the opening of the new patient tower at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville. Officials have been saying for some time the target date for the opening was the first week in February.

Meanwhile, several staff members recently took part in the first of two Mock Move and Day-in-the-Life simulations in anticipation of the opening. From practicing real-life scenarios to perfecting daily routines and mock patient moves, “every detail is coming together to ensure we’re ready to deliver exceptional care in this incredible new space,” according to a Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) Facebook posting.

And plans are still in place for a Feb. 1 open house, giving the public its first chance to get a first-hand look at the facility. EARLIER STORY. POSTED NOV. 30: Open house planned for new NGMC patient tower
