*(HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE NARRATIVE) – “A 28-year-old man from Peachtree Corners was on a rental pontoon boat with friends Saturday afternoon…in the area of Van Pugh Park North when he apparently did a flip off the boat into very shallow water and injured himself. The nature of his injury is unclear because when (HCSO) Marine Patrol arrived, HCFR’s (Hall County Fire Rescue’s) boat had already been to the scene and made sure the man was transported to the hospital. Witnesses gave what information they could, but they were unable to tell our deputy definitely what had happened. We understand the man was placed on a ventilator when he first arrived at the hospital, but at last report he was awake.”
