*To settle a lawsuit brought by Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) attorneys representing a Christian college, Georgia officials have agreed to allow Luther Rice College and Seminary to participate in the state’s financial aid programs. ADF attorneys filed the lawsuit two months ago, challenging state officials for excluding Luther Rice from participating in student financial aid programs widely available to other colleges, and thereby “negatively impacting high school and college students as a result.”

*The family of a golfer killed during a storm is suing the golf club where he was killed. The family of 29-year-old Ramond Baxter Jr. is suing the Bentwater Golf Club in Acworth claiming the club failed to warn players of dangerous weather. Baxter was struck by lightning while running from the course to the clubhouse during a fast-moving storm in September of last year. He was taken to a hospital but died three days later. The lawsuit claims Baxter’s death was preventable.
